New WoW Free Realm Transfers are available. Help relieve yourself of overpopulation and long queues by packing up and moving to a new server! Yay!
With the launch of Wrath of the Lich King, we’re seeing a very active and growing population for many realms. As we continue to see players actively participating in the new expansion, we’re keeping a watchful eye on any resulting queues from high realm populations, and will offer free realm transfers as necessary to help keep populations at an appropriate level. We've created a post in the forums that will contain all information on these transfers as we offer them -- please check it out for the most current information.
Updates:
Transfers to Galakrond will be closed at 12:00am PST, midnight, tonight. If you plan to transfer to this realm please do it as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
We plan to put up more free character moves in the near future to continue to address the queue issues. More details will be posted when they are available.
We will be closing the WoW Free Realm Transfers to the following PvP realms at 5:00pm PST tonight, November 17.

If you are planning to transfer to any of these realms please do so before this time. No characters will be eligible for these free moves once they have been closed.
We will be offering free character moves from selected high population realms to a brand new realms, Dawnbringer (PvE) and Drak'Tharon (PvP), to assist in population dispersal. The ability to move a character on the selected source realms will become available starting on Monday, November 17 at 10:30PM PST, and is scheduled to run until Monday, November 24 at 10:30PM PST.
In the event that these realms meet our transfer goals before the scheduled end date, the transfers to that realm will be disabled. We highly recommend that if you are planning to transfer that you do so at your earliest convenience. No characters will be eligible for these free moves once the transfers have been closed.
We will continue to evaluate realms and add more free character moves as we feel they are needed.

We have opened WoW Free Realm Transfers for Oceanic realms to the new PvE realm Saurfang. The ability to move a character on the selected source realms will become available starting on Sunday, November 16 at 3:00PM PST, and is scheduled to run until Sunday, November 23 at 12:00PM PST. Saurfang is an Oceanic realm in the Vengeance battlegroup.
